I am a Wife! My husband and I have been married since 1996. He was my "Just After H.S. Sweetheart". We started dating just after I graduated high school, I was 18yrs old (practically a child). He was an older man of 21, I know - scandalous! He was my friend's older brother and I think I fell in love immediately that special July 4th weekend in 1992.
We have had our ups and downs over these many years. I can honestly say that I love him more today than ever. We work pretty well together - he provides our home, I take care of it! He is a hardworking man, who has dedicated his life to helping juveniles. We have supported each other through school, career changes, infertility problems and many other obstacles. I remind him often that we will be the strongest, wisest people ever when God gets through with us. We have learned to become each others cheerleader and prayer warrior.
And oh how we laugh, he is hilarious! Our best memories are filled with laughter. Now our marriage has it's struggles all right, but we have come to the point where we accept it and try not to have unrealistic expectations of each other. We are also working hard at making sure that our marriage is centered around God. It isn't always easy, that sin nature issue often gets in the way, but we know what it needs to be like and we are working towards that goal (it may not happen "till death do we part") but we are working on it!
